Update FlowCast

Look for an update

FlowCast looks for an update only when you click Check for Updates….

• On a Mac, click Check for Updates… in the FlowCast menu.
• On Windows, click Check for Updates… in the Help menu.

You can also click the Settings button, click About, then click Check for Updates…. About also shows the version of FlowCast.

Install the update on a Mac

1. Click Download Update. The Dock icon shows the progress.
2. When the download is complete, click Restart Now.

FlowCast puts the new version in place of the old one and opens again. If you click Later, the update installs when you quit FlowCast.

If FlowCast runs from the disk image, or from a folder that you cannot write to, Download opens the release page. To prevent this, move FlowCast to the Applications folder.

On a Mac with FlowCast 0.4.0 or earlier, download the .dmg file from the release page and install it one time. After that, FlowCast installs each update itself.

Install the update on Windows

1. Click Download Update. The taskbar button shows the progress.
2. When the download is complete, click Restart Now to install the update.

If you click Later, the update installs when you quit FlowCast.
