Computers

FlowCast operates on a Mac with Apple silicon and on a Windows PC with an x64 processor. Windows on Arm also runs the Windows installer.

Download FlowCast

  1. Open the FlowCast release page.
  2. On a Mac, download the .dmg file.
  3. On Windows, download the -setup.exe file.

Install FlowCast on a Mac

  1. Open the .dmg file.
  2. Drag FlowCast to the Applications folder.
  3. Open FlowCast from the Applications folder.

Keep FlowCast in the Applications folder. If FlowCast runs from the disk image, it cannot install its updates. Refer to Update FlowCast.

Install FlowCast on Windows

  1. Open the -setup.exe file.
  2. If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info.
  3. Click Run anyway.
  4. If Windows asks for administrator permission, accept the request.

The installer has no code signature. Thus, Windows SmartScreen shows a warning. If the computer does not have the Visual C++ runtime 14.51 or later, the installer installs it. Windows then asks for administrator permission. The installer puts a FlowCast shortcut on the desktop.

The top bar has the controls of the audience screen and of the listening. It also has the Settings button.
